Gallinazo Formaleta por Vara
Shizolobium parahybum also known as Gallinazo or the Brazilian fern tree.
Boards of kiln dried and sustainably harvested (5 trees in 2024 across 30 hectares of this specifically soft wood fast growing trees, which will allow more light for the slower growing trees to develop). The trees were cut with permission from MINAE.
We will provide factura electronica’s upon request. Prices listed here vara (a typical lumber measurement) the offical measurement of a vara is 0.8359 meters (32.909 inches) and has a thickness of 0.917 inches.
We have been cutting the boards to a thickness of 1″ and typically 12″ wide, however we have boards available up to 29″ in width.
The lengths of the boards are sold by the vara, our tablet lengths are roughly 10′, or 3.2 meters.
We cut, process, mill, dry and transport the wood ourselves.
Proceeds from all our forestry operations go towards reforestation projects, sustainable food gardens and horticultural research.
